Aiming to foster a creative culture for the art of photography in the University, our founding members CS, Mini, Narendra, and Ankit started Zoom in Inc. in 2014 as a photography collective.
who we are
Ever since, the club has encouraged and promoted the participation of students in photography, visual arts, film making and other fields of creativity
branching out
Subsequently, aiming to encourage literature in the University, the club created ‘Zinc Tales’ in 2017 as its sub-division. Since 2020, Zinc Tales has been managing two projects, ‘Humans of DSNLU’ and ‘Chai Copy’.
as of today
With its relentless love towards the arts, Zinc emerged as the torch bearer of the visual and creative arts in the University. Zinc has grown to become the custodian of memories for the student community of the University, through its presence in different social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Today, Zinc is recognized by the University as their media partner for all events conducted or held at the University.
the way ahead
To streamline all its projects and subdivisions, Zinc will now move forward under the new umbrella of ‘The House of Zinc.’ To commemorate this new beginning, we will be soon introducing the ‘Zinc Scholarship’ that seeks to support creatively-gifted first-year students. Keep watching this space!
