This word is unfamiliar to the batches after 2018 in DSNLU. This was our law school’s address back in MVP Colony, Vizag; this address is in fact our whole world encapsulated in that plot. If you ask someone who is waiting for his pesarattu at the tiffin bandi nearby for the address, they would not answer. Instead, ask for Law College, and they will point towards the lane next to a stream, which used to be a freshwater stream once upon a time, but is now a drainage outlet to the shores of RK beach.
Only six storied building in that lane, you cannot miss the view. That is plot no 116, home to DSNLU. Who said that DSNLU didn’t have a campus? It had not one nor two, but three buildings and the entire Visakhapatnam is its campus. Now ownership and possession are relative terms.
If they have to study, the students huddle up in the buildings and when they have to unwind, the world is in their lap. Who owns the splendid sunrise at Yarada beach, the seashells at INS Kalinga, the snowfall at Lambasingi, the gushing springs at Araku, the Godavari Riverfront at Yanam and the foamy waves kissing you at Peddapuram?
But the people who are going to miss DSNLU the most are the III Town police station cops who attend every midnight birthday bash without fail at Plot No.116. ‘Bake my Wish’ will be completely out of business. The ‘Phulka point’ and ‘akka’ will definitely miss their de facto wards.
